Bio
I'm a producer, recording and mixing engineer — and a musician myself. I've played in bands my whole life: rehearsing in rooms that were far too small, playing for twenty people, hauling amplifiers and going home with ringing ears. Somewhere along the way I started recording the bands around me — first with far too little knowledge and far too much enthusiasm, then steadily better.
That enthusiasm became my craft. In 2026 I graduated from Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam with the Advanced Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering — the programme of Abbey Road Studios in London, where the Beatles made their records. That's where I learned the trade: signal chain, acoustics, microphone technique, mixing and producing, held to a high standard.
Today I work from my own studio in Zuilen, Utrecht. No institute, no waiting list, no office between you and the music: just a room set up to make bands sound good, with all the time needed for the details that make the difference.
I'm also still on stage as the frontman of MONOWOLF. So I know exactly how it feels to hand your own songs over — and why a recording shouldn't only be technically right, but should above all feel the way you meant it.
Roles
Producer, recording engineer and mixing engineer get mixed up all the time. Here they come together — but they're three different crafts.
The person who captures you or your band with microphones. That sounds simple, but it takes practice and knowledge to get the best possible sound from a source. Moving a mic a few inches can change a sound radically. What goes wrong here, you never fully get back.
Once the performance is captured, everything has to work together. Mixing is making things punchy, warm, bright, aggressive, mellow, big or small — with EQ, compression, saturation and reverb. The art is turning separate tracks into one record.
To me, a producer is someone who gets the best out of an artist and looks at the song from the outside: structure, performance, sound. I deliberately keep that role fairly modest — the end result should be something you stand behind, not just me.
Location & getting here
Right by Utrecht Zuilen station, a few minutes from Utrecht Centraal and next to the main roads out of the city.
The studio sits in Zuilen, on the north-west side of Utrecht — the old industrial pocket along the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal that is now full of workshops, studios and makers. Easy to reach by car from the A2 and the NRU, with space to unload gear.
By public transport you're there within fifteen minutes of Utrecht Centraal: the sprinter towards Breukelen takes about four minutes to Utrecht Zuilen station, and the studio is a short walk from there.
Sessions always run by appointment, so the room can be set up entirely around your project. Want to drop by for a coffee and a look around before booking? Absolutely fine.
Times are approximate. Drive times are measured from each city to Zuilen, outside rush hour.
